The software allows searching and ranking over millions of emails and documents in under one second.

Office, Pdf, Html, Rtf and other types of files are supported.
For emails, Outlook and Thunderbird email formats are supported.

TotalFolder searches the terms you enter, considering how they are grouped and how close they appear to each other, in order to offer the best possible ranking. The results are automatically ranked using standard algorithms like BM25, so the most relevant results are easy to see.

Text that's found will be shown highlighted within the file context so there is no need to open the original document.

You can search for numbers by defining a range (minimum and maximum, negative values are also accepted).

It is possible to filter the results to contain only files with certain patterns and/or files modified during a given time interval.

All operations are supported for both local files and files over the network.

TotalFolder is a much more powerful tool than Windows Search, and it is integrated into the Explorer menu.
